CRISIS RESPONSE INTERNATIONAL
ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
1. Volunteer Participation
As a volunteer, not an employee, I freely choose on my own accord to participate without coercion or obligation in Crisis Response International activities.

2. Image and Likeness Release
I recognize that Crisis Response International and or its authorized third parties may photograph, record video and or take statements while participating in activities, all of which may be used to promote Crisis Response International through promotional products, including but not limited to offline and online digital publications,, displays, pamphlets, and presentations. All images and videos will be stored until used in the Crisis Response International image bank. I hereby authorizes the taking of such photographs, video or statements and releases Crisis Response International and its authorized third parties from any claims associated with the use, publishing, display, exhibition, modification, adaptation or copying of such photographs, video and/or statements. Furthermore, I understand that I will be added to a contact list which may include me in future email, text, and phone communications from Crisis Response International and that I may opt out at any time. I understand that should I wish to have their likeness removed from Crisis Response International image bank, I can contact them at [email protected]

3. Participation in High Risk Locations
I understand the risks of serving in places hostile to human life. As a volunteer for Crisis Response International, I understand the work may include proselytization, invocation, and faith practices in locations and cultures where it is explicitly prohibited. I acknowledge and accept the risk of working in conflict and disaster areas deemed unsafe by authorities and Crisis Response International leadership. I understand that Crisis Response International does not guarantee my safety, wellbeing, and may have limited or no capacity to guarantee food, water, or access to medical care which could result in trauma, injury, or death. I willingly choose to enter high risk locations of disaster, oppression, urban and military conflict, despite the possibility of trauma, injury, dismemberment, death, financial ruin, imprisonment, detention, kidnapping, and threats to my family and friends.

4. Participation in High Risk Activities
As a volunteer for Crisis Response International, I understand that I will engage in hazardous work that involves a risk of illness, physical injury or death, and/or property damage. This work includes hard physical labor, bending, twisting, heavy lifting, equipment operating, and exposure to environmental hazards. I hereby assume all risks associated with performance of Crisis Response International activities and release and forever discharge Crisis Response International from any and all liability for claims or damages I might have that result from volunteering with Crisis Response International, and any related claims or damages arising from Crisis Response International’s selection of work sites or activities, provision of equipment, or provision of food, lodging or transportation in connection with my volunteer duties.

5. Insurance Expectations
I understand and acknowledge that I am a volunteer, not an employee, of Crisis Response International or their affiliates. I understand that Crisis Response International is not insuring me in any way. I understand it is my responsibility to provide my own health, disability, liability, travel, ransom, or accident insurance to cover my claims or damages from any injury, illness, detention, delay, death, or property damage I suffer while performing volunteer work for Crisis Response International. I agree that any expenses incurred by me as a result of illness, injury, evacuation, detention, or other circumstances are solely my responsibility.

6. Indemnification and Waiver of Liability
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crisis Response International, as well as its officers, board, staff, and volunteers from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including attorneys’ fees resulting from my action or inaction directly or indirectly in affiliation with Crisis Response International. I hereby waive my legal right to enter into litigation criminally and civilly against Crisis Response International as well as its officers, board, staff, and volunteers and hold them harmless of all responsibility, ramifications, and reparations.

7. Severability
If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

8. Binding Agreement
This agreement is binding upon me, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate. I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and Crisis Response International, and I sign it of my own free will.
